Answer :

Given that,

The equation is : 1+y=-4/5x-2

To find,

The slope of the line.

Solution,

We have,

[tex]1+y=\dfrac{-4x}{5}-2[/tex]

Subtract 1 from both sides.

[tex]1+y-1=\dfrac{-4x}{5}-2-1\\\\y=\dfrac{-4x}{5}-3[/tex] .....(2)

The general equation of line is :

[tex]y=mx+c[/tex] ...(1)

where m is slope and c is y-intercept

Comparing equation (1) and (2)

m = [tex]\dfrac{-4}{5}[/tex] and c = -3

Hence, the slope of the line is  [tex]\dfrac{-4}{5}[/tex].
