In traditional love poems, you expect the man to admire both the physical and emotional beauty of their partner but this poem clearly does not. Shakespeare used a very realistic approach towards this poem displaying how most relationships do not work out but the partners never forget each other and the experiences they shared together because noone else will be able to compare.
