I need y'alls opinion- I have to write a short piece on early developing American culture and do you think that I will be lectured and/or punished if I use terms like "bigots" or "white- washed" because it is supposed to be opinionated about whether it was a land of equality and opportunity or not?? I wanna be honest but how far is too far with my mostly white- mostly Christian school?

Answer :

Avoid using terms that might create conflict. Some people might still be offended by your words even if it is not directed to them. thats just what I think. Don't overdo it with the words, that's all
