Substitute -3 for x
F(-3)=-5(-3)+12
F(-3)=15+12
F(-3)=27
When the put a value for x in f(x) there telling you the x value
Substitute the x value to get the y value
F(x) can be written as y
Which makes this y=27
which makes the order pair of (-3,27)
