Correlations on a scatter plot can either be positive or negative. When it has a negative correlation, it means the x values increases as the y values decreases.
There are basically two types of correlation on the scatter plot
A positive correlation is such that as x increases, y also increases.
However, a negative correlation is such that as x increases, y decreases.
Hence, we can conclude that the x and y values of a scatter plot with negative correlation are in opposite direction.
