so first you have to add the like terms so move 10 to the other side and if move numbers over the equal sign it changes
So it will become
4x= 30 - 10
Then subtract
It’s 4x=20
Then u have to remove the 4 so u divide both sides by 4
4x/4 = 20/4
4/4 is 1 but u don’t put the 1 if there is a X so it’s just x
X=20/4
Now u divide the 20 with 4
It’s 5
So
X=5
