Answer: For creating a bamboo stalk you would stroke the brush downwards pressing down on the brush a little bit to create a wide type of line. For creating branches of leaves you are not going to apply much pressure to your brush at all. You would gently hold the brush and lightly touch the canvas or paper in a quick little swoop of the hand.
