The hospitality industry is a broad category of fields within the service industry that includes lodging, food and drink service, event planning, theme parks, travel and tourism. It includes hotels, tourism agencies, restaurants and bars.
In my view, the hospitality industry assumes many responsibilities including overall oversight of everything from bookkeeping, room sales, catering, entertainment, business development and customer service. The hotel manager works under the hotel manager.
