Essay question: to what extent can World War I affect the homefront in terms of politics economics and society?

Introduction: When WWI started the U.S main priority was to stay neutral. The country loaned money to the Allies but did not get directly
involved. From 1914-1917, several events resulted in the U.S
eventually joining WWI.

I need a thesis for this and I have no ideas what to put. Does anybody have any ideas. This my my introduction btw.
