In medias res is a latin phrase meaning “in the midst of things.”
It's used as a literary term to describe when a story opens with the character already in the middle of thing : like sometimes they start with showing as epic battle or it's aftermath and then say " you must be wondering how I got myself in this situation. for that we need to go way back.'
