wplete the following: Find the intercepts and domain and perform the symmetry test on each parabola with equation: Graph the vertex, focus, and endpoints of the latus rectum; then draw the parabola for each equation in problem 1. (c) = -4x atch on the same axes the parabolas with ercises 12.4 (a) y=&x (b) x2 = 8y (d) x = - 4y co

Answer :

We get that the standard formula of a parabola is:

[tex](y-k)^2=4p(x-h)[/tex]

if the parabola is a vertical one

[tex](x-h)^2=4p(y-k)[/tex]

if the parabola is an horizontal one.

In both cases the vertex coordinates are: (h,k).

therefore in all the cases of question 1 the vertex is (0,0)
