This question has me stumped. What do I do and what are the steps to it? (do you have any tips I could use to make this easier?

Given:
Rectangle:
Length, l=60cm.
Breadth, b=40cm.
Circle:
Radius, r=10cm.
There are 2 circles with the same radius.
To find the area of the shaded region:
Using the formula,
[tex]\begin{gathered} Shaded\text{ area, }A=\text{Area of rectangle-2}\times Area\text{ of the circle} \\ A=lb-2\times\pi r^2 \\ =60\times40-2\times3.14\times10^2 \\ =2400-628 \\ =1772cm^2 \end{gathered}[/tex]Hence, the shaded area is 1772 square cm.
