Hello! I really need help it will mean a lot if anyone considers.

8 gallons of gasoline is required to travel 340 miles.
After mechanic repair the car, 7 gallons of gasoline is required to travel 350 miles.
The price of gallon is 4 dollar per gallon.
To determine the cost nearest cent per mile to run the car after the mechanic worked,
[tex]\begin{gathered} (\frac{8}{340}-\frac{7}{350})\times4=(\frac{8}{340}-\frac{1}{50})\times4 \\ (\frac{32}{340}-\frac{4}{50})=\frac{1600-1360}{340\times50} \\ \frac{1,600-1,360}{340\times50}=\frac{240}{340\times50}=\frac{24}{1700} \\ \end{gathered}[/tex]Simplify it again,
[tex]\frac{24}{1700}=\frac{6}{425}=0.0141[/tex]Hence the cost is 0.0141 cent per mile.
