This is a type of agriculture that has to do with the rearing of Livestock only. Crops are not grown. Animals such as cow, sheep, and goats are reared instead.
The Hebrews initially were nomadic people that moved around with their livestock in tribes.
But after they moved to settled farming, they began to:

- Create economic opportunities.
- Learn crafts and skills.
- Have private land ownership instead of communal ownership.
